2010 Environmental Summit
The 2010 Sustainability Summit entitled, Choices--Paths to Sustainability, is being held September 29-30th, 2010 in Boston, MA at the Omni Parker House Hotel.
The Choices Summit brings together hundreds of professionals for a unique learning opportunity that highlights key topics in the areas of Environmental, Social and Economic Sustainability. Walk away with the knowledge and the tools to help you and your organization make sustainable "choices".
Wednesday, September 29th:
4:00 pm--Take a walk on the Freedom Trail and travel back in time to the early American history of Boston. Then, join us for a welcome reception at the historic Omni Parker House Hotel.
Thursday, September 30th:

8:00 am--Opening Remarks
8:30 am - 4:30 pm--Presentations designed to motivate, educate and inspire. Speakers represent a variety of organizations. See below for speaker information.
4:30 pm--Closing Remarks

Speakers
Keynote: Bill Strickland
Bill Strickland is nationally recognized as a visionary leader who authentically delivers educational and cultural opportunities to students and adults within an organizational culture that fosters innovation, creativity, responsibility and integrity. Bill is also the author of Make the Impossible Possible, which includes his story of how a kid from Pittsburgh's ghetto would go on to lecture at Harvard and serve on the National Endowment of the Arts board.
Bill Roth
Bill Roth will be speaking about best practices of actual companies succeeding in growing "green" revenues and profits answering these two questions: Who's Making Money? and What is Their "Secret Green Sauce"?
Linda Coady
Linda Coady has a favorite quote, "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." It's a saying that has inspired her approach to problem solving and one she used during the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, BC. Linda will help attendees understand the meaning of "triple-bottom-line", why it's important and how it can be applied at businesses and organizations.
Al Sample
Al has been President of the Pinchot Instiute, a nonprofit natural resource policy think tank, since 1995. He is a Fellow of the Society of American Foresters, and a Research Affiliate on the faculty at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Al will provide insights on Social Sustainability as it relates to forestry and forest communities.
Christine Beling
Project Engineer with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Christine will be speaking about solid waste management and landfills.
